"Finally a model for cultural differences that shows the differences between people instead of just talking about country averages."
Culturetest measures your unique and personal cultural profile. The test consists of 64 questions with three possible answers for each question and 1-16 control questions with two possible answers. These answers correspond with the culture types of the Dingemans & Janssen model for cultural differences.
From the answers a personal cultural profile is calculated for each participant. This profile gives an outcome on 8 communications styles and 8 values of culture. It shows the individual’s cultural orientation on three cultural types (task oriented; relationship oriented; purpose oriented). The results are further divided in four levels; Visible and invisible communication styles; Professional values – this is how one approaches work; and finally their basic values which are at the very core of a person’s decision-making strategies. With several thousand possible outcomes, this profile is pretty unique.
Once a participant has completed the test you will have access to a downloadable report with your results, and you’ll have access to a dashboard with eight applications to further explore your profile and how it fits in with national cultures, cultural profiles and your team members.
Culturetest has a unique feature, and that is that you receive practical advice for each cultural variable about bridging cultural differences.
Finally, we have an extensive country database with the average country profiles of more than 100 country cultures. See where to expect cultural clashes, and get advice on how to avoid them.
All test results are anonymized and the data is used to validate the theoretical foundations of the Dingemans & Janssen model on a statistical level.
